Mr Richie a bit dissappointing!
The evening started with the sound man, asleep at the wheel as the audience could not hear the all-important and talented sax accompaniment that is an integral part of many of Mr. Richie's tunes. Although Ron Funches put on a good show, his change in singing cadence and apparent need to reinvent his style via his background band took much away from what could have been a night to remember. Apparently, the crowd was more concerned about their AM ride to work than to hear another from Mr. Richie, especially one that they knew but was somewhat unrecognizable. A short 2-song encore was also disappointing.
